Irisity develop unique algorithms to solve real crime scenarios in the city of Vicente Lopez, Buenos Aires

Irisity, a global leader in AI powered video analytics, launches in Latin America a pioneer software solution using Artificial Intelligence algorithms to capture “2 people on a motorcycle”.

Different authorities in Latin America are fighting a variety of crimes executed by 2 people on a motorcycle such as bank robberies, motorcycle thefts, cell phones thefts etc. Irisity’s objective is to enable and help authorities to detect and respond in real time to these specific crimes committed by 2 people on motorcycle.

Irisity offers an exclusive and personalized software solution. Irisity’s IRIS+™ AI Open Video Anaytics Platform. works seamlessly with existing cameras, generating instant and real time alarms to the command-and-control centers when a motorcycle with two passengers is detected.

The technology is developed based on the real need of Vicente Lopez municipality in Argentina, to combat crimes carried out by 2 people on a motorcycle. This is especially useful in suspicious situations such as entering streets from the wrong direction, a driver or passenger carrying firearms, street meetings, approaching other vehicles, etc.

“Supporting public forces in Latin America is a big step for Irisity and we are proud to be pioneers in this market. We already have the system implemented., We expect that Irisity’s revenue from projects in the public sector will represent 30% of our global revenue this year”, says João Paulo Florentino Souza, Vice President of Sales and Operations, CALA (Caribbean and Latin America) at Irisity.

Public and private security forces in Latin America increasingly rely on the evolution of technology, mainly based on AI applied to video, to cater all types of crimes and reduce crime rates through AI-based functions such as; intelligent search (Fforensic), real-time video analytics, and anomaly detection.

With Irisity’s new 2 people on a motorcycle detection capability, public authorities can focus on what matters when it matters, saving operators time and effort, optimizing their workforce, and reducing costs dedicated to recording hardware.

With this new video analytics capability, video monitoring becomes more effective where the number of cameras and the scope of the entire solution could be greater, as well as the expected return. Irisity is paving the way of helping public forces to expand existing coverage without the need for additional expenses.
